Will we be able to watch the SuperBowl on the Spirit??

My Dad is very concerned about being able to watch the Superbowl while we are on our cruise. Do they have big screen TV's for sports enthusiasts???

If you are at sea, sorry, probably no super bowl game. I know its the pits, but it is the way of the ocean....

Of course if the ship leaves on Superbowl Sunday and hasn't gotten too far from shore he might get to see some, if not all of it. Tell him, not to count on it: maybe he will be lucky....

I beg to differ. I can guarantee you that if there is any sort of sports bar on the ship, they will show the Superbowl.

It's going to be on nearly every major channel which the cruise lines do get.

The Captain would have a major mutiny on his hands if he ignored the Superbowl.

Believe me, any of the major cruise lines are more than happy to pipe in the Superbowl. Do you realize how much revenue that generates for the ship with people buying alcohol????

You will definetly see the super bowl. We saw it last year on the sun princess, the playoffs this year on the crown princess, and the playoffs on the nor spirit in 2005. Cabin television, lounges, and perhaps the theater

we were on the Spirit in September last year. The bar that shows sports has maybe 10 seats it is basicly in a hallway. the english pub might show it but they did not put sports on when we were on it. I missed every yankee game. they did get some shows in your cabin so you might get lucky. what you should do is stake out a place in the bar when you sail so you can be sure of getting a seat.

No, not all channels carry the super bowl: what would make anyone think they do, so unless the channels that are carrying it are on the ships contract you will not be able to see it. I don't know where some of you are getting your info. I hope you do get to, we are big sports fans: DH would be totally divistrated if we couldn't watch it, but I can assure you this could happen. I hope you do get to see it, but be prepared for this not to be the case unless you are just leaving port. NMnita 8)
