Latitudes Cocktail party question
After our July cruise on the Pearl we will have completed 8 NCL cruises thus making us gold members. I was looking over the benefits and noticed goldies get invited to the "Captain's Cocktail Party". I assume from the way it is listed this is different from the repeaters' party for all Latitude members. Is that so? Can any of you tell me about that party?

Of course I don't always count right. We will be going again in Sept with a large group. :wink:Actually I just re-counted, I guess I had should call latitude: I count 10 so far for me. boy do I have a crappy travel agent looking after me. LOL

Why Ms Magnolia Blossom..I will make sure that your NCL captain serves Southern Mint Juleps at your next Latitudes reception as befitting one of our great Southern ladies of beauty and charm, if you promise to wear your Rex Mardi Gras gown and mask !!
FYI great review by you on the Pearl..Almost makes me want to try her..does NCL still do the cold soups? My last NCL cruise was in the early 90's on the Windward and I still remember my waiter bringing me 2 and 3 bowls every night along with having the soup chef come out and take pictures with us and give us his receipes for cold fruit soups |

That is a different party, it is the same one that the penthouse guests etc get invited to. It is a lot of fun.

Hey Miss Magnolia! You'll be boarding the Sun just as they are kicking us off. We'll try to leave the ship in good shape. If you see the crew forcibly removing a family of four, while they are kicking and screaming "hell no, we won't go" That would be us.

Looking forward to the additional Captain's Party.
Beenie - try not to scar the paint up with all the kicking and clawing you do as security pries your fingers off the railing! Venice - how nice to hear from you again! It's been awhile. Survived, Mardi Gras, did we? Yes, the cold soups are still part of the NCL cuisine, although, escargot is not, at least in the commoners dining room. |
