Default 18 year old on cruise

We are planning on our first cruise with NCL to Alaska in June. Our son just turned 18. Will he be allowed to be in the video arcade? Is there enough for an 18 year old to do on board? Any advice would be appreciated. Our 16 year old daughter will also be along and from what I read there are things for her. Thanks!!

That 18 to 20 plus is a rough age, but one good thing about Alaska. Like Hawaii, it is pretty port intensive so you won't be spending all that much time on the ship. He can go to the arcade and can gamble, but he can't drink alcohol. Hopefully he will find young people in his age group. If he is outgoing he will be fine. Of course there are the nightly shows, the trivia games (which he may or may not be interested in) and outher activiites to help keep him occupied. NMnita

Thanks for your reply. I wasn't aware that he could go to the casinos, so that will help. He is outgoing, so I guess he should do OK. I appreciate your reply.

He can in fact drink wine or beer with consent from his parents

we have investigated and found the same to be true...

They can drink wine and beer with parental consent, they can gamble in the casino.

Shoreguy, I thought they changed that policy about 3 months ago. I know RCI did. Guess I have it wrong. thanks for setting me straight. NMnita 8)
