Jacket for Dining in The Bistro?
We will be on the POH in May. We want to try some of the alternative restaurants especially The Bistro. Are men allowed to dine in the Bistro with just shirt and tie (OK and nice slacks too) or do I need to bring a jacket. I expect this cruise in Hawaii to be much more informal than a "normal" cruise, and it's just easier not to bring a suit coat. Jimbo

You do not need a jacket in any of the restaurants on NCL.

Thanks Kuki! That was fast! So i guess if I'm comfortable in The Bistro without a jacket it's OK. I'm gonna do it!

I second it. We went to the bistro on "Formal" night. Even though we did dress up, we saw very few jackets or gowns in the bistro. NCL is a very laid back dress as you wish cruise. (no jeans or shorts of course)

Just so you are neat and not looking like you just came off the beach anything goes, almost. DH usually wears a pair of slacks and open sprot shirt of even a polo type. And yes, do try the Bistro, it is our favorite: NCLs flagship alternative dining room. NMNita :)
