Hi Jimbo, I was wondering the same thing. Here's some advice that was given to me by Richstacy, "If you are going to be there for two days I strongly recommend that you rent a car. On the North shore, not far from where your ship docks and on 36."
Hope that helps alittle.................

I UNDERSTAND THRIFTY IS AVAILABLE IN ALL PORTS MAKE ADVANCE RESERVATIONS. THERE IS OVERNITE PARKING AT MAUI AND KAUAI. JOIN THE BLUE CHIP PROGRAM WITH THRFIFY. WE ARE ON POH 4/16/07 AND HAVE THRIFTY RESERVED FOR EVERY STOP HAVE A GREAT CRUISE
I just got off the POH yesterday. You should rent a car, and they seemed readily available. You will want to plan where you are going so you can maximize your time. We didn't rent a car and missed seeing so much. There were cars parked near the pier where we docked and in one place I noticed that there was a $10 charge to park your rental car over night.
we rented a car in every port. the rental companies all have shuttle busses to bring you back and forth---check the last runs end time etc so you dont miss your boat though. we loved driving around plus we did alot of excursions . the cruise is fantastic!
