sure.... From my experience...
Get to the port around noon. It took us about 20 minutes from the time we left the cab until we were on the boat. That was amazing to us...
Book reservations to dinner for that night and the next night. (they dont allow it any further then that). Even if its Windows or the Garden room make a reservation. One night the line was VERY long and we just went to the front, told them we had a reservation and we got right in.
Try to make reservations for any restaurant as early as possible..
May 13th (make reservations for 13 and 14)
May 14th (make reservations for 15)
May 15th (Make reservations for 16)
etc...
Go to the desk right when it opens each day for reservations... we went to the desk around 9:00am and were told there were nothing available or the earliest was 10:00am.
You get to Port Canaveral around 9:00am. Go to deck 7 where they are disembarking around 45 minutes early (IMO). We were the first off the boat and when our bus was pulling out there were still people leaving the boat.
Dont put your key near anything electronic. The key demagnatizes pretty easily. We had more then 1 occurrance of this.
If you dont like crowds... stay away from Raffles (Buffet) if you can help it. Especially on Port days. We went to raffles at 7:30am when we docked at Port Canaveral and we still couldnt find a seat.
Nassau disembarks from the 4th floor if you like to be prepared.. and get there early
When you dock at Great Stirrup Cay, The night swimming was fun and not crowded at all. I recommend it. The next day was REALLY crowded. We still had fun but it was crowded..
(Funny tidbit - Dont take the chairs at Great Stirrup Cay directly in front of the place to rent scooba gear. They people returning the gear have to wash the gear in barrels of water and your stuff will get soaked. (Happened to us))
Dont bother with the elevators if you can help it. They tend to skip floors for no reason. Dont waste time unless you really cant do stairs...When they do come they can be crowded as well.
Out of the restaurants that charge a fee, Cagneys and Shogun have nice food (IMO) and is worth it.
If you want to get a seat at the hibachi (teppinyaki) Get reservations as soon as you can.
If you have kids.. the kids crew is really good. I didnt think my daughter would go but when she saw it and tried it it was hard to get her to leave...
The pool is saltwater... this was strange to us.
One of the nights they have a TV/Gameshow where you can call up and win if your the forst correct caller. If you like that stuff try to be in the room to play it (you can also be in the audience on the deck).. we won a NCL Bag.
If you like to play tables in the casino they have a promotion, give them $10 at the casino cashier and they will give you $15 in chips (one time per trip per person. Not good playing Texas Holdem)
If you ahve kids and they drink soda alot the Drink card is WELL worth it ($16 for the entire trip). It is double that for the adults so you can decide if its worth it (We didnt do the adult card)
Get to the Chocolate Buffet a minimum of 30 minutes early if you want to get in pretty quickly when it opens. The line was almost the length of the ship by the time it opened when we were on. (we got there early thank goodness)
The pictures taken by NCL of you are pretty expensive. If you know they are too expensive for you to buy then try your best not to get pictures taken by them. When you see them its difficult for you not to want them and if you have kids it makes it hard to say no when you see the pics. If you have strong willpower or know you want them and will buy some then this is moot.
If you go to seaworld and want to have lunch there in a nice restaurant. Go immediately to the Shark Grill. They book up fast. It was a great restaurant.
The ship is beautiful. the staff was always friendly and cooperative and we really have no complaints
If I remember more I will post again. 8)
