Just look at it this way, 80% of the reviews are positive, it is the most reapeated NCL ship in the water and the less than nice crew is something you rarely raad about on any NCL ship regardless of other complaints. Just because a couple of posters seem to have had problems, that doesn't mean you will. I always question posters that 1-are almost or new to the board or 2-give no information in their profile as to background etc.

TABLES- I PLAY BLACKJACK- I DIDN'T WIN VERY MUCH. I ACTUALLY DID BETTER ON SLOTS. GO LATE - 9PM AND AFTER- IT'S LESS CROWDED.
EXCURSIONS- BOOK THEM EITHER BEFORE YOU GO OR IMMEDIATELY ONCE YOU GET ON BOARD- DECK 7 MID SHIP. ALSO THE PLACE WERE YOU GO TO MAKE YOUR DINNER RESERVATIONS- HERE IS THE TIP ON THOSE:
IF YOU CAN EAT LATE- DO IT. THE RESTAURANTS THAT CHARGE- CAGNEYS STEAK ETC. CHARGE $20.00 PER PERSON- SO, IF YOU GO AT 8:30-9:30 IT'S TWO FOR ONE..... YOU WILL SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY.
THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY BILL YOU $10.00 PER PERSON PER DAY ON YOUR ACCT- THIS WILL BE BROKEN UP FOR THE ROOM STEWARDS, WAITRESSES, BARTENDERS ETC. SO, UNLESS YOU WANT TO, DONT FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO TIP CAUSE YOUR DOING IT ANYWAY.
SHOWS ARE FANTASTIC!! GO TO EVERY ONE YOU CAN!!!!!!!!

POOL - THERE IS AN OUTDOOR POOL- FREE. THERE IS AN INDOOR POOL WHICH THEY CHARGE $15.00 PER DAY TO USE OR $60.00 FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK. IT'S HEATED - BIG DEAL, IT'S LOCATED ON DECK 11 IN THE SPA.
I HAD A MASSAGE- HOLY JESUS!!! INCREDIBLE!!! WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!
SODA CARD- $60.00 NOT WORTH IT!!!!! IT'S CHEAPER TO PAY BY THE CAN $2.10 EACH THAN THE CARD UNLESS YOU HAVE KIDS.....
The Dawn is absolutely amazing. I have been on one other NCL boat and it was okay but it was an older ship. On the Dawn they were always cleaning or doing something to do with up keep of the ship. I never had a problem and had loads of fun. For me I never really felt the movement of the ocean. Albeit we had calm sees but when I went on the Spirit, even in calm seas you felt significantly more movement. You made a good choice with the Dawn, she wont disappoint you!
The dawn is amazing …No complaints …It was spotlessly clean… however; the spirit isn’t the same… It also has to do with the time of year that you go. Spring break… the Spirit was a mess in my opinion and I am a college student. Overall I love NCL and would only use them…but I would try to avoid the Spirit �…Have Fun
I'll be cruising the Dawn on August 4th also!!!!!!! Also a first cruise for us (me and my husband)! Just like you, I was getting so worried by the bad reviews I read! Really thought that maybe NCL was not the right choice. But after reading all the posts here, I'm sure we are going to have the time of our lives!!!!
