I am cruising on the Pearl in October and we have a stop in Samana. I can't seem to find much info on it. Can anyone give me any info. What to do there, shore excursions etc?
If you want to do anything, do a tour via the ship. We were there last April, although it is rather pretty, it is the most 3rd world country we have visited and we have visited more than most. The people were not terribly friendly, the place not very clean and the water near the walk ways filled with junk. I don't think I would get off the ship next time we cruise to that location. This is just my opinion. NMnita
