Smoking is allowed in your cabin, on one side of the ship, in the casino and certain areas around the bars. This is pretty much like any mass marketed line I beleive.

For non smokeres, don't be concerned about smelling smoke when you walk into your cabin, never has there been any residue from passengers the cruise before, unlike a couple of the lines we have cruised. NMnita

I have been on a few Ncl cruises. Once when I wasn’t a smoker and twice while I was. They kind of let you smoke anywhere. There are rule of where you can and cant but they have never been enforced. It has never bothered me before. NCL is one of the cleanest cruise lines. They are constantly cleaning. If you are worried about smoke ...Don’t be

Hello.

I was just on the NCL Pearl. They pretty much allow smoking anywhere. Although they say to only smoke on one side of the ship, it isn't really enforced in any way. Just make sure not to fall asleep with a burning cigarette in the cabin!! ha ha ha....that is not a good thing!!!

On both and Jewel is was enforced, but actually most people were considerate so not too much had to be said.

Interesting The Pearl is perhaps the best NCL ship for smokers and none smokers.

Deck 7 is smoke free end to end including Bliss and the Lobby Bar. Star Bar smoke free. Bars and casinos on deck 6 have smoking. Garden Cafe smoke free but the Great Outdoors area has smoking and clearly marked no smoking tables. Outside it can be a bit of a free for all.

I have been on several NCL cruises. We always get a balcony room so I smoke there but I've been told by reservations that you can smoke in your room, but the brochure doesn't say so. There are plenty of smoking areas (you will see ashtrys on all open decks). No smoking inside the public areas of the ship though, but most doors lead to outside.
