hI - i WENT ON HER IN APRIL OF THIS YEAR FROM NYC. WHAT CAN I TELL YOU? IF YOUR A GUY, BRING SOME KAKKI (KACKI) PANTS FOR DINNER AND SOME DRESS SHIRTS TO MIX AND MATCH. PORTRAITS ARE DONE ALMOST EVERY NIGHT. YOU NEED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR MOST OF THE RESTAURANTS- TRY LATER VS. EARLIER. ALSO, THE STEAK HOUSE HAS SPECIALS- 2 FOR 1 - CAUSE THEY CHARGE $20.00 PP - I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS WORTH IT - I SWEAR MY STEAK WAS TWO BITES!!!!
IT WAS WINDY COMING OUT OF NYC - LUCKILY, I BROUGHT A SWEATER AND JACKET. WE HAD AN INSIDE CABIN AND ON OUR FLOOR WAS AN IRON TO USE. SO, IF YOU NEED TO USE ONE, CHECK WITH YOUR ROOM STEWART AS TO WHERE THAT ROOM IS- THERE IS ONE ON EVERY FLOOR.

PEOPLE WERE NICE. THE FOOD- THERE WAS A LOT OF IT, BUT I PERSONALLY THOUGHT THE FIRST DAYS WAS THE BEST - PRIME RIB!!
I DON'T EAT SEAFOOD. I CAN TELL YOU THE ITALIAN RESTAURANT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND SO IS THE TEX-MEX. THE TEX-MEX WAS A LITTLE MORE LAID BACK ON RESERVATIONS. THEY WERE STRICT WITH DRESS CODES!! SO BE WARNED!!!!!

CASINO DIDN'T PAY OUT MUCH AND I WAS THERE EVERY NIGHT. ME & TWO OTHER LADIES SAT SIDE BY SIDE EVERY NIGHT- I FORGOT THEIR NAMES BUT ONE OF THEM SPENT $800.00 ON A NICKEL MACHINE!!!

I DIDN'T SWIM IN THE POOL CAUSE IT WAS COLD, BUT THE FOUR JACUZZI'S WERE NICE- AGAIN SALT WATER - WIND KICKS UP AND YOUR GETTING IT RIGHT IN THE EYES!!!!!!!

SHOWS WERE AMAZING!!! WE HAD A HYPNOTIST - HE WAS FUNNIER THAN HELL! THE MORE YOU RELAX, THE BETTER YOU FEEL - MY BOYFRIEND STILL USES THAT LINE ON ME! ! HE SAYS, JENN, THE MORE BACK SCRATCHES YOU GIVE ME, THE BETTER YOU WILL FEEL! !!!!!

I DID THE SPA AND GOT A MASSAGE FOR $100.00- IT WAS WORTH IT! I DIDN'T BUY ALL THE JUNK AFTERWARDS - THEY ARE A LITTLE PUSHY ON THAT. ALSO, WAIT TILL THE END OF THE CRUISE- THEY HAVE SPECIALS.
TWO FOR ONE ETC.....

IT WAS NICE- DON'T GET ME WRONG- BUT I WAS TRYING TO GET AWAY FROM THE RESERVATION CONCEPT - CAUSE WHO REALLY KNOWS WHEN THEY WILL BE HUNGRY??????

I AM GOING TO TRY THE PRIDE OF AMERICA NEXT YEAR TO HAWAII - THIS TIME I KNOW TO PACK NICER CLOTHES...

HOPE THAT HELPS- FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME W/ANY QUESTIONS.

Thanks so much for the responses, how was the staff on the ship? I am concerned because it is one of the larger ships and hope due to the ship's size, it will not not eliminate the quality of service experienced on NCL smaller ships.

What are the dress codes that you mentioned? They advertise the free style concept so heavily that I thought that the dress codes went bye-bye. I don't mind, but making sure hubby brings appropriate clothing is a different issue.
Also, do they have any 2 for 1 specials on the first night for higher priced restaraunts?
Last, but not least, I am a coffee junkie. Do you happen to know what the cappacino bar charges?
Thanks!
Marty

As for the attire, anything pretty much goes, depending on what/where one decides to eat. I do believe after dark no tank tops are allowed in dining areas for the men.

There is a coffee bar, and the prices a similar to what Starbucks would charge, however if you add liquor the price does increase.

Enjoy!

the dress code, very relaxed, but shorts, tank tops or beach wear is not (are not?) allowed in any dining room after 5pm. Most of the time this is closely enforced. There are always exceptions. I did notice lots of jeans on the Star at dinner, all were nice and neat except for one gal in her micro mini jean skirt that may have cost $200 but should have been on sale at the church rummage sale for a quarter. She was almost turned down. After some discussion she was seated. I think the question was, whether she was wearing shorts or not. Beleive me, shorts would have covered more. The only positive thing: she had a super figure.

Ah for the days when I had a decent figure. Never mind, I think I'll just enjoy the cruise food instead!
