I'm planning a cruise on the Majesty. Does anyone have information about the suites on deck 9? I have been told that the suites have a private area on the sky deck accessable only by the room keys? Is this true. Also, does anyone know how often the Majesty has had to abort the Grand Cayman portion of the cruise due to rough sea? I would appreciate any and all information about the Majesty. Thanks
While I can't help you with the suite info, and btw, that sounds wonderful. Grand Cayman is a port which can be hit or miss..Even in good weather, the seas can be rough enough to prevent them from tendering. We once docked on the other side of the island, I guess maybe the seas can be calmer there, and then we tendered..
My last 2 cruises, I missed this port, though not due to rough seas..NY eve I was ill, and they had 7 in ships that day!! Last month, it poured SO hard, we decided to stay onboard.
If you do get there, enjoy it. It's a beautiful island, pricey, yes, but we loved it.
Boston, where the Majesty was much loved for the May- Oct Bermuda sailings, was saddened to lose her...the Dream will take her place. We toured her twice, and know you will enjoy her.

We have sailed the Majesty 12 times and have always enjoyed sailing on her. We have booked a suite only once and it was very nice but there was no private area for people in suites at that time. I doubt such an area exists on ship that small.
Have a great cruise.
Bob
the Majesty is in dry dock in Boston for refurbishment right now !!!
Thanks for the replys.
I had wondered with the rough sea at times whether the Grand Cayman was aborted. We want to see and do everything we can cram into 7 days. 8) Don't mind the price as along as it doesn't involve being stuck on the ship watching the waves.
Thans Bob for the info on the refurbishing. It will be great to have "new stuff" on the ship.
I'm also glad to hear that NCL have installed dispensers for cleaning hands at all the restaurants. We can't be too careful anymore with all the virus' etc. floating around.

When I booked the fellow at NCL told me about the "private area" on the sky deck for the suites on deck 9. I called back later to ask another question and talked to a different person who said there balconies. I knew that was not true.....so am really wondering what is fact or fiction about other questions I had asked.
