It has been 7 years since hubby and I have cruised. Wondering with all the alternative restaurants if anyone knows if the menu items in the dining rooms change or not. If not, does anyone know what the rotation is for a 7 day, as we would like to try all of the places to eat on board, but don't want to miss something we might like in the main dining rooms.

I do know they change daily, and each day ona 7 day cruise is different. When we cruised the Spirit the only time we ate dinner in the main dining rooms were for Lobster night, and the Murder Mystery dinner. It was fine. Windows Dining Room is beautiful, and to be honest we never even stepped foot into the Garden, but it also had a different menu.
I should have asked if the Spirit (or any other NCL ship) has the same meals on the same nights for each 7 day. Like every Tuesday is Lobster night, every Wednesday is steak night etc.
I beleive all the NCL ships follow the same of similar menu and yes, they do use a 7 day rotation. You can check menus at the reception desk to get ideas as to what nights you want main dining rooms and which alternative dining. On our last Sun cruise (18 months ago) we didn't repeat the same dining room once, enjoyed everyone. On my last one, last month we did do some repeating.
will we have to wait until the Spirit is doing the Exotic Western before we know what the rotation is? We really don't want to wait until we get on board before we make our reservations.
You will have to wait until you're on board to make reservations anyway. They only allow you to reserve for the current day or the next. Plus I don't think they encourage people to make reservations in the main dining room anymore.
