Does anyone know when the Gem will arrive in the US or where it is right now? According to the NCL site, the first US cruise is a 2-day out of Boston. I couldn't find any info on when the transatlantic from Europe leaves. The web cam shows very calm waters.
I will be boarding the Gem in Boston on Thursday, for a 2 1/2 day cruise! She will then be off to NYC, for their short runs!
I can hardly wait to see her. I am told we we be able to view the Villa cabins, and I may try and stowaway in there.....! I will be posting pictures and a review, when I get back!

Lets see when you posted this we were about two days out of Medeira headed for Boston. Here was the view from my Balcony that afternnon.

Plan on eating early or late. Last I heard onboard from the Hotel Director you have almost 3000 passenger booked on the 22nd. We had 2045. The extra 900 amounts to at least one more turn of every seat in the main dinning rroms. Breakfast at the Garden Cafe should be a zoo until the weather allows you to use the Great Outdoors.

I don't have any first hand info on that cruise. I would expect a couple 100 less. The xmas cruise always has more families with 3+ in a cabin. I think I recall hearing around 900 kids on the 22nd. I would expect half that amount on your cruise. There is sold out and then there is filled to capacity. Consider yours sold out.
