Goes to show that I'm right when after my return from the NCL Jewel in the spring that NCL is currently the most imaginative and innovative cruise line in the industry at present.

I had read this earlier this pm. It is amazing what NCL comes up with. I have always maintained NCL gets a bad wrap sometimes because the are so often the pioneers and thus snags have to be worked out.

Looks like they are also lauching a 2.0 prograam for agents as well

http://www.cruise-community.com/ShowStory.asp?ID=13245

The changes were detailed today to agents on board Norwegian Gem. They include the processing of group commissions five weeks earlier than in the past, with processing commencing seven days prior to sailing, and the establishment of a resolution desk to be staffed seven days a week by seasoned agents who will be empowered to resolve issues. ......

Hi shoreguy,
I am so glad to see you post here on cruisemates. I know you have a big following on cruisecritic too and always considered you an expert on anything NCL. Come post here often, please.
Thanks

Captain

Sounds great, actually we were rather lucky, on the group I did in late Sept we got paid only a few weeks later, but and this is a biggy: The $1000 deposit and the free birth refund has just been paid. I will finally get this back next week when my boss comes to town. The staffed desk will be a god send. Hopefully more agents will want to use NCL for groups and individual bookings.

This may seem like a redundant question, but when do you think these "Freestlye 2.0" changes will go into affect? We sail on the Gem in 3 weeks and I'm curious if she will have the updates or not? (I'm guessing yes as the Gem is their newest ship, but not sure; hence why I'm asking.)

Thanks,

Mark

Have been an NCL fan ever since I sailed on The Norway in 1981. I have tried other lines but NCL always shows that it is doing everything to make it better for its passengers.
