We're traveling on the NCL Spirit in Novemeber. Can anyone give me any tips about the boat? Also, are there any "secret cabins" on board? For instand, on almost every carnival ship, there are extended balcony rooms for the same price of a regular balcony, etc...
I have travelled Carnival my past 5 cruises, and never on another line. I'm not sure what to expect...
Depending on the catagory you want, yes there are a few hidden gems.
If you want a huge inside they are: 5035, 6035, 6535, 9051, 9551, 9203, 9207, 10611 these are all 250 sq ft and well laid out. There are a few more that are 200-225 sq ft and they are: 10031, 10531, 9205.
If you can, try to stay closer to the bow, there is a shaking/vibration from the engines at the back.
Go up to the Galaxy of the Stars Observation Lounge and take the stairwell down to this fascinating "hidden gem" of a room back to back with the bridge and you can spend ages there observing what goes on in the bridge from behind a glass wall/window. Absolutely fascinating.
The Spirit is a fun ship. we liked her better than the Gem. The Galaxy of The stars usualy has some great music to relax to. if Josie and his wife are still playing on the Spirit you are in for a treat and if they are tell them Eric and Mary from NJ said HI! enjoy the trip
