What is the actual on bringing wine on board for room consumption? Was told by home office that they will charge you right as you go thru the scanners.Did not care whether for dining room or your room.Someone give me a recent example. My understanding that you were allowed 2 bottles per cabin and there would be charge for corkage in dining room.

NCL will charge you a $15 corkage fee per bottle regardless where you choose to consume it. Some folks have become masters at finding ways to get it onboard undetected. But you can count on if you put it in your carry on, you will pay the corkage fee or they will confiscate it until you leave.
