SPIRIT BOOKED 1-25-09 - COMMENTS?

I just booked NCL Spirit sailing from New Orleans. I'd like to hear from anyone that has sailed on her - how did you like the ship?? I haven't sailed NCL in almost 10 years - so curious!!

we are taking her for the second time we realy like her. she is a more elegant ship toned down colors etc. the food is good and service was good. enjoy.

I enjoyed her immensely the first time, and we will be returning at the end of March to try her out again for 14 days. I think you've chosen a good time to cruise, because she will have returned from drydock by then and be refurbed. i am sure you'll have a great time

what are they going to do in the drydock? refurb but will the asian flair stay?

They are planning to fix the long standing engine problem I believe and implement the Freestyle 2.0 stuff and probably do some all around sprucing up.

we went on the spirit this summer, it was our first cruise so we didnt have anything to compare it to. but we really enjoyed the ship.

the freestyle 2.0 will be great when they get it up to speed. we have a penthouse 10012 and my mother-in-law has the handicapped cabin 11629. any pictures you can get would be appreciated.

Thanks for all the comments - I was a little worried because she is a bit on the old side - I like the newer ships. But the free- style dining, New Orleans Port and the ports are what swayed me to book. Plus I got a nice price - $800pp for a balcony....wooohooooo. Now let the countdown begin!!!!
