Default Sun, just returned -Roatan, Belieze, Cozumel, Great Stirrup

What a great cruise. I am happy to answer questions on this cruise. This is now my favorite cruise line. I highly recomend Victor Boddan tour in Roatan. For 25.00 a day, you get a private guide in a mini van. He took us where ever we wanted onthe island, and showed us lots of neat stuff. Nice to be on a private tour for 6, instead of a huge bus. In Belize, we took the snorkle and beach tour through NCL. It was a terrific snorkle experience. The guide was in the water with us, and went deep and pointed out things we may have missed. Cozumel was just a nice day of wandering around.
As for the ship. It was not over done, therefore much cheaper than my previous 7 cruises. It was nice, and will always book a balcony from now on. Room was nice size, although shower was cozy

I was on this same cruise. The Cruise Director is Linda (I can't recall her last name), but she was always referred to as Linda. It was probably written in the daily paper, but I really can't recall.

It was a good cruise overall. The food was just ok, but the staff were extremely friendly and professional.

We used Victor a few years ago; found him by accident. You are so right about the smaller groups.

I am glad you liked the Sun, it is my favorite ship or certainly at the top of my list. Yesterday I booked 6 cabins for a family going to Alaska in July. They have been on the Star and I assured them the Sun was even better. there isn't much differents in the ships, but there is just something about the Sun and the crew.

How do I book with Victor? Currently we are booked on excursions through NCL for Roatan (snorkeling), Belize City (city/ruins tour) and Cozumel (snorkeling) but might be able to cancel (I'll need to check on that since we leave on 2/23.)

Any other recommendations? I like to just wander but my mom can't walk a whole lot without resting and we'd like to see some of the areas we are stoping in.

We booked a balcony cabin and I'm SOOO Excited (can you tell?!?)

you can go to his web site

http://www.boddentours.com/

You can also just put Victor Bodden tours in your search engine, and it will bring it up. You will love your balcony room. I posted pictures of my balcony room at http://www.cruisemates.com/gallery/ My pictures are listed under Jan

Hi I am booked on the Sun Mar 29 we have a mid-ship balcony state room on the Norwegian deck. This will be my first cruise on NCL I hope I like it. Please tell me how are the beds and do they have egg crates for extra comfort. as I have a bad back. Every other cruise line I have been on had comfortable beds and offered some sort of extra mat for the bed.

Thank you, John

John, I don't know what lines you have cruised but I certainly have not always had good beds. On our recent Princess cruise the bed was absolutely awful. We asked for an egg carton and it was 2 days before we got one. Now, as for the Sun, one of my favorite ships: my biggest complaint is the beds. I would ask for eggcrate as soon as you get on board or maybe even email the shipcoordinator ahead of time. email address: shipcoordinatorsun@ncl.com.

hope this helps,

Nita

rblank,

I was on that same sailing. If you went to the Quest on the last night, we were team 69. I was the guy in the black shirt with the two roses on it.

Cruise Director is Linda Millikin
Asst CD is Dimetri
Hotel Director is Rosita Schandy
Asst HD is Carlos
Group Coordinator is Jeanine Marshall
Concierge is Erika
Social Hosts are Shirley, Merissa, Jayne, Louisianna, Aifee
Cruise Consultants are Ted and Laura

For the OP,
Yes you can ask for egg crate for the beds.

Dave
