Default NCL JEWEL Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony Versus Mini Suite

Me and some of my friends are going on the Jewel March 9th. We currently have the Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony but were thinking about upgrading to the mini suite because it is only a little bit more. Can someone tell me the differences and would they reccomend switching? the only difference I noticed was a bigger balcony in the mini suite.

Thanks,

The mini's have a curtail seperating the sofa and television the area from the bed. Also, mini's have a tub. The curtain is good if you want to not disturb (too much) someone who might be sleeping. The only other advantage is that the mini's are all on deck 11, you're only one deck from the Great Outdoors (bar), Garden Cafe (buffet) and the pool. I've had both and am content with the regular balcony.

Mini suite has more cupboard and drawer space, robes and a deeper balcony. Yes a tub but you must step over it to get into the shower...I like the walk-in type myself.

When booking the Star I was going to go for an AF but after carefully looking I realized I could get a BA aft with a much bigger balcony for less money. The AF balconies are 37 sq ft on the side and the BA is 56 sq ft on deck 8 & 9 and 96 sq ft on deck 10! We don't need a bathtub or bathrobe so I'd rather have the bigger balcony since the mini-suites don't come with any other perks anymore. I understand the Star & the Jewel are the same type ship.
