Travel Agency Questions

Hello!

I already have a cruise booked for January 2009 and I've seen some better deals via TA on the cabin rates and OBC (total savings as much as $360) - my only concern is knowing which TA to use and TRUST...

Can anyone recommend a good travel agency?

I would suggest checking out our advertisers, and, our group cruise travel agents..Give then a call and see who you get a good price, and who you get a good feel from.....

I've had good luck "googling" the name of the TA to find helpful reviews of the agency by other passengers.

Recommendations are the key and I agree that the folks who work with groups that post on the boards, have to bring their A-game. And the internet helps you reach out nationwide. A few years ago, a lady from the Northeast booked with my T/A in So Cal based on converstion on these boards. And I'm still a strong proponent of using a T/A since it's no extra charge to the customer. Yet, I certainly understand why veterans like dealing with the lines directly, especially if they have a T/A that doesn't pick up the phone right away. Happy hunting, Robbie

I thought if you haven't paid for your cruise in full yet, that if the price went down you could request a reduction of your cost.

I think what the OP meant is that the cruise line didn't drop their price - just that other TA's have it priced lower. In this case, the cruise could certainly be transferred to the TA for the lower price.
