NCL Jewel - cabins near the laundry room is it noisy?

This will be our first time cruising so we don't know what to expect. We are offered inside cabins (9583 & 9581) on the 9th deck only one room down from the laundry room. Would we still hear the washer/dryer? Those who used the laundry rooms on Jewel before, can you hear the washer/dryer in the hallway as you get close to the laundry room? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

We were near the laundry room on deck nine on our Jewel cruise. Never heard a thing. Walking past it you will not even know it is there except for the small sign above the door. We loved deck nine as you are close to all the action! Enjoy your cruise!!

That's great to know that you can't hear it walking by. Can you tell me how big is the laundry room? Is it same size as a standard cabin or double the size? Thanks.

I have never used the laundry rooms on any ship, but it appeared to be only the size of one cabin. In fact there was just the one door to the laundry room.
