What´s your opinion about cruises where more than one port can be used for embarkation and disembarkation?
Norwegian Gem will do 7-night cruises in the Mediterranean next year with embarkation both in Barcelona and Valletta, does anyone think that´s a good idea?
It may seem like a good thing that it´s possible to choose but I shouldn´t like it. The first night on the cruise is magic and everyone is excited and happy but with more than one port for embarkation it´s not the same!
You embarkate in Barcelona just two days before some other passengers shall disembarkate in Valletta, that doesn´t seem very fun to me.
NCL have done it before in Hawaii. How did you liked that?
I tend to agree with you. A cruise just seems to flow better when everyone on board is on the same time-table. It gets distracting when new people come and go in the middle of the cruise.
As a former crewmember, I can tell you it is very troublesome for the crew. You never know who to say "welcome aboard" to - or you get questions in the middle of the cruise like "where's the dining room" and you forget they haven't been on board all week, and they just seem crazy to you.
(I get confused easily)
