We are looking at the NCL Pearl for an Oct 2009 cruise...I have not cruised with NCL since 2003 so please bear with me.
What restarants are complimentary onboard the Pearl and which ones are reservations/pay?? How much are they?? I am trying to work out the numbers and need to know for financial issues. Also, is lunch cheaper in the specialty restarants?? If so, how much??
Booked

As of recently all of the specialty restaurants have a charge from $10 to $25 per person. The no charge dining options include 2 main dining rooms, Blue Lagoon, buffet, room service and the grill at one of the bars on deck. Unless you are in a suite there is normally no lunch at the specialty restaurants. I think I do remember on a sea day the Asian restaurant was open and sushi as well but it was the same charge.
This info is out of date.
Teppanyaki is now $25
Mambos is now $10
All of the speciality restaurants do have a charge now.
If you are considering LeBistro, think about the Anniversary/Honeymoon package. For $79 you get the dinner for 2 at LeBistro, a bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries in your cabin, canapes in your cabin, and a 5x7 portrait.

Sooner or later the pricing will settle down and be the same fleet wide. Teppanyaki was $25 when I took the first full cruise of the Pearl UK to Miami. I believe that has been the only constant.
On the Jade last month I think they had it right for the Tex Mex resturant. No cover except a $10 uplift for the lobster taco.
I ate at Mambos the week of July 13 for FREE. But then cruisers were coming back and reporting that Mambos had the ten dollar charge in August. We like to eat at the specialty restaurants, because of the atmosphere, it doesn't feel like you are eating in a catering hall. You are going out to eat at a different restaurant, with a different theme, every night.
p.s. when I recommended the Anniversary package I forgot that they also give you a bottle of sparking wine, along with everything else listed.
