Hurricanes and Maine and Nova Scotia

I can't quite figure this out. On the weather maps, it looks like Hanna may reach Maine by Monday. How will Nova Scotia be affected, if at all? Just wondering. We're leaving on Sunday and I am wicked excited about this trip!!! :)

I would pack some shorts just in case. It looks like Hanna will be out of the way but you could find yourself in Bermuda or the Bahamas.

jeepers, maybe we'll cruise around Boston and Cape Cod for 7 days. Oh well, I'll bring lots of books.....went through Hurricane Bonnie on the Majesty and it was an event. To say the least.

Cruising in hurricane season is always an adventure.

Never expected to run into 2 named storms in early Dec on the Pearl transatlantic. The worst built to cat 4 with peak winds accross the bridge at over 150 MPH.

I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia and they are telling us to be prepared for heavy rain and wind from Hanna starting on Sunday. The weather is great right now - yesterday people went to the beach!!

Hope you have a great cruise and that you enjoy Halifax - no matter what the weather!

Thank you. Can't wait. It was one of my Dad's favorite places and I've been meaning to see it. All my relatives from Scotland came from there.
It's supposed to be quite beautiful. :)

Well I think it is fantastic but I may be biased  . It is another beautiful sunny day here today - I hope you get the same. Enjoy!

We are taking the same cruise next month. I would love to hear from you when you return regarding the cruise and some specifics. Which nights did they have the formal nights? How was the weather (not withstanding the named hurricanes)? What excursions if any, do you recommend?
Thanks in advance, -Jim
