Default Blue Lagoon sur charge

Shoreguy or anyone else for that matter,

I just read a review on the Spirit (another website) saying how horrible the cruise was and there were almost no free dining. I responded mentioning Blue Lagoon, she claimed Blue Lagoon now has a $10 sur charge, anyone know anything about this? I almost can't believe it but haven't cruised the ship so don't want to say it isn't true.

No way Blue Lagoon has a cover. Now what does have a new cover is La Trattoria. If you go to NCL.com and check out the public rooms on the ships most of the cover charge restaurants now say at the end of the discription - Exceptional value worth the price or something like that.

Here it is

La Trattoria
Located on Deck 12

Enjoy pasta, pizza and other traditional fare in this casual Italian Trattoria. Dress code is comfortable. Exceptional value, worth the price

ok Shoreguy, I am losing it, I did go to NCL.com but couldn't find prices listed. OH well, I had you to depend on, that is what I needed. Of course I knew that, just wanted to make sure.

Thanks,

Nita

Check out the dicription on all the restaurants. Those with cover (price not listed) we say at the end:

Exceptional value, worth the price.

Default restaurants w/ cover charge

Hi, need help understanding the specialty restaurants. This is our 1st cruise NCL Dawn 11/02. At Shoreguy's suggested checked the descrip for the Dawn. Cover charge on Le Bistro, Salsa Tapas, Bamboo, Impressions, and Teppanyaki.

Does this mean That Cagney's descrip is just a typo, and there is a cover charge?

Definitely cover charge on Cagney's, definitely NOT cover charge on Blue Lagoon!

Shoreguy will probably give you a better answer as I have not cruised the Dawn, but have been on other NCL ships and the prices are pretty consistant on all NCL chips: Le Bistro is $15 with extra charge if you want a specilty dinner: Salsa Tapas, probably $10 and Cagney's $20 unless you order the extra large steak, lobster or surf and turf..Teppanyki is $25 I beleive.

We just returned from our Cruise to New England and Canada on the Jewel and their Blue Lagoon does not have a surcharge. It was our favorite restaurant for "comfort food". We used it for lunch and for late-night snacks. The Buffalo-style chicken wings are great. I also liked the fish and chips. Also, on the Jewel, the restaurant is on the 8th floor and shares the area with the Tango restaurant. It has quite a few tables and is larger than the Blue Lagoon on the Dawn.
