Default Is wine ok?

Hi, new here and I have read the ?'s about bringing hard liquor onboard, but what about wine? Most of the other cruise lines allow you to carry wine on without a problem. Thanks in advance, and I really enjoy reading these boards.

You can bring wine, as long as you're willing to pay the corkage fee ($15).

and the $15 is collected when you come on the ship. Don't try to smuggle it in your luggage, you will get caught most likely.

Corkage fee starts at $15 per bottle and goes up based on size of bottle, also no boxed wine is allowed.
As mentioned put it in carry on and declare it and pay the fee or you risk being called to the naughty room and losing time of your cruise and still paying the fee.

McCall this is the luck of the draw I may add, we have many times declared our wine, both 750 and 1.5 liters and always been charged $15. As for boxed wine I have known many who have put it in their luggage and never been spotted, also a few who have declared it and been charged from $15 to $60. corkage..

We tried to take wine on board and were promply "arrested". We had to go to the bad room with hundreds of other smugglers. We didn't try to hide it as we were told on the phone we could take it on without a corkage fee. We just did a 20 day HAL cruise and no problems taking on 4 bottles.

We have always taken wine (or spirits in suitcase) on our cruises and declared upon boarding. They mark the bottles and when we get to our cabins I go to the dining room and tell the wine steward which bottles are ours and then they bring them to our table when we request them. Corkage is always $15 per bottle so I always bring 1.5 Lit. and they charge at the table when bottle opened. Also if you bundle a bottle in suitcase you can always have beverage in cabin or on deck in you own canister without hassel!!!
