Luggage Tags?

My TA said that NCL doesnt give our luggage tags anymore? Supposedly we get them at the pier. Can anyone vouch for this?

Your TA is somewhat misinformed. You can print your luggage tags online. Just do your pre-cruise registration at https://www.ncl.com/nclweb/secure/bo...stLanding.html

Once completed, and after final payment, you will see "eDocs". Click on that and you will see all of your documentation, including your luggage tags.

I personally print them out, cover them with clear packing tape and then use a hole punch and attach them to my luggage with a cable tie. Works great.

Others may know if NCL is still sending documents but on my last three cruises I used eDocs because of the convenience.

A few months prior to our cruise we received in the mail a packet that included luggage tags printed with our names. We just had to fill in our address.

There were handfuls of luggage tags available at the port as well.

I can confirm we received a welcome aboard booklet as promised on the NCL website with the preprinted luggage tags for our upcoming cruise in May 2009.

I appears to have been mailed directly from NCL. We booked with an on line discount travel agency.

I too received luggage tags through the cruise line. It was mailed to my T A, then she mailed them to me.

W were on the Spirit last week and we received luggage tags in the mail. We were later upgraded so we printed new ones from the website and used Mike's procedure for putting them on the bag. HINT: If you have luggage like mine there is a top handle and a side handle - put a tag on each one - that way if one gets torn off or damaged your bags will still find you rather than you having to find them in the lost luggage area the first night.

I have never been upgraded. I booked a guarantee on the Jade for our 5/31/09 cruise and didn't get an upgrade OR a good cabin. When did they let you know about your upgrade? I am still hoping the upgrade fairy will visit us.

If you are using a TA, have them stay on top of any upgrades available. If you booked through NCL, call them to ask about upgrades. In 2002 I upgraded to a balcony on the Sky.

That's another story......I consider myself a seasoned cruiser. BUT I booked with a TA that was recommended to me on the boards. Excellent price - but there is NO service at all. I called about the guarantee booking when I received my cabin number to complain and ask if they could do something to get me a different cabin. I was told I booked a guarantee and that's what I got!!!!!I asked them to calling NCL and see if I cold get an outside with a picture window. The guarantee they gave me is on the bottom deck with a porthole .The TA told me I could pay extra and get a better category - they must be kidding!

I will never use this agency again. The TA was rude and it was obvious that I was bothering her with my call to request a different cabin.
