Default 3 adults sharing a room

What is it like for 3 adults to share a room? Is it a good idea?

We have always had 3 adults when we cruise and it has been no problem. Our son has went with us everytime. We don't see him much he does his own thing but it has never been a problem.

Where is the third bed, do you get bunk beds? If you put 3 people in a room, are you actually getting the same setup as when you put 4 people in a room?

Depends. Sometimes theres a trundle that pulls out from beneath another bed, other times it is a bed that pulls out from the wall or ceiling. I personally like the pullman bed that comes down, just because it leaves some floor space so you can get to the bathroom or in/out of the room with out climbing over bodies.

It worked out very well for us. Our cabin had two lower bunks, and 1 rollaway.

The sofa was not a pull-out.

Go for it.

Like others have said, the type of cabin and ship will determine where the 3rd bed actually is.

For instance, on the NCL Spirit, the third bed is a pull out couch for the balcony categories but it is a pullman upper berth in the ocean view cabins and insides.
