Am going on the Star shortly while she's docked in Vancouver for the Olympics, love cruising and glad to have a full service ship while I'm at the Olympics! Have never had a massage and am interested in having one on the Star.
Do they tell you how to get ready, ie what to wear, putting towels over you etc? I've heard about the push for selling products but I'm sure you can politely say no right. Any favourite massages or other spa treatments, I'm a young guy but heard many men have massages too. Thanks.

A good massage therapist will tell you what you need to know but in case they dont: for the best massage remove all your clothes (yes, you will now be neck-ed) but if you are very modest and wish to leave your panties (oops, I've assumed you're female) on that is okay. The therapist will tell you whether to lie face up or down, but down is the most common starting position. There will be a large towel or sheet on the table and you cover up w/ that, and in a few minutes the therapist will tap on the door and ask if you are ready.
She will have asked you some questions before she takes you to disrobe and that is the best time to tell her you understand they might recommend products you could purchase, but you would prefer to only have the massage and then depart totally relaxed. They understand. If you get the rare therapist who launches into the sales pitch anyway, just hold up your hand and remind her you are not interested (and then remove the gratuity)
Enjoy your massage - oh yeh, be sure to drink a lot of water that day so flush out the lactic acid that is going to get pushed into your lymphatics.
If you don't drink enough water (no, margaritas are not water and alcohol will actually promote dehydration)you may be sore the next day.
