Matt,

I will be on the Epic cruise and I really look forward to meeting you. As a former line cook (I had ability but not "talent") :) I would love to hear and swap some "war stories" about life in the kitchens of fine dining restaurants.

It's going to be a great cruise and I know all of the Cruisemates will have a wonderful time on this great new ship, meeting you and enjoying everything that will be offered.

Take care,
Mike

Matt,

Sounds like a plan to me. I wonder if we can find some waitresses to join us. :)

Take,
Mike

I think that is the first time since many years that the wealthy and beautiful
people have their own area: bars , elevators, swimingpools, (disco ?).
And extreme poor (and ugly?) people in the Studios have their own areas too - Living Room.

I think it is interesting - so we all have more really cruise felling as in gut old times.

But my main questions if I go to any cruise is if there is some sparkling water in glass bottles everywere (I hate the plastic water and I drink no alcohol, fanta etc.).

And would DJ "make" some nice disco music and not main stream Hip-hop ...

Mike M April 5th, 2010 02:40 PM

I have seen the Pelligrino water available in the dining room, specialty restaurants and bars.

Take care,
Mike

>> have seen the Pelligrino water available in the dining room, specialty restaurants and >>bars.

OK thanks , great news, Pelligrino is the main stream , but it is not bad, better as nothing.
Hopefully they have some other sorts of water.

I have a big problem with sparkling water on Costa and Prinzess.
They even looks like they have not get what I was speaking about.

sergej April 26th, 2010 02:43 PM

As a matter of fact I really think it is a great idea to make a lot
dining options !

I think it is much better than to have 2-3 big noisy restaurants.

But I wonder if anybody would pay 20-25 USD or more e.g. in Cagney’s Steakhouse.

I am not a prophet but I mean No ! All dining options "for money" would be pretty empty.

except of Cirque Dreams & Dinner of cource.

As for me I would like to visit Teppanyaki, but I don't think
I'll do it more than 1-2 times.

And maybe the second time I would visit only if there is some
"original chef " from Japan there.

So here is my question :
are there any "original shefs" from Japan on Epic?

Matt - can you recommend any restaurants in Miami? Or how about New York on the Upper West Side?

sergej July 13th, 2010 04:42 PM

Hi Matt,

I was eating all the way in garden Cafee all the way and I feel that the meal is
very gut and made in health way and I liked it very much.

Only 3 points wondered me

- no fish (only "snack" fish morning)
- some stuff was extremly hard to get - one need very long arm.
- coffee cups smells terrible (some desenfection stuff maybe)

OK I get some fish in Sushi restoaraunt
Fish was very tasty and the presentation was gut .
Of course there was no Japan waitress there ,
But all was made professional and the in nice way.

I cannot wait to try meat on a stick, in the Brazillian restaurant...Cagneys too....Bruc will love the steak.

Paul Motter September 2nd, 2010 03:31 AM

Trip - the charascuuria is so excellent. That was my favorite place by far. I love that kind of food anyway. Maybe Matt will tell us how to do it.
