I agree. I have been in plenty of hotels with a two-inch gap under the door (not exactly soundproof) and I once had a cruise cabin with a sink in the middle of the room.
Yes - watching your cousin brush his teeth the first day is a little weird, but pretty soon you aren't even thinking about it.
Plus - there is a curtain you can draw for privacy and there are plenty of hooks for hanging up clothes and towels.
The point is that by day three the novelty wears off.

I'm just going to give you my personal opinion about bathroom's, no matter where they are. I want the tub/shower, the toilet and the sink in one enclosed private room, just like I have at home.
