hurricane/bad weather warning
when you have a potential storm warning coming up from East Carib and you are scheduled to go on a cruise to East Carib, what are alternatives? Ship leaving from Miami. Would it go to West Carib instead (although the weather there may be just as bad if storm over southern tip of FL)? Cruise is Fri-Mon. Anyone encounter this problem before? Was cruise cancelled? Many thanks for your comments.

Berths/ports are booked many months if not years in advance. This can limit the changes a cruise line can make. We were on a West Carib that got rerouted. Instead of Cozumel, Grand Cayman, to Ocho Rios, we ran the route backwards. There was 'no room at the inn' when we got to Jamaica and we ended up in Montego Bay. It was an excellent adventure!
