Epic deck plans for Deck 9 ~ Question

Ok, so I am new to cruising but confused about the deck plans.

I was told Deck 9 had no connecting staterooms. Connecting staterooms are shown with an arrow symbol between cabins, as drawn in the middle of the cabin.

Looking at Deck 9, I see no arrow (which makes sense because they say no rooms connect on Deck 9), but what does the teeny little square represent between each room by the balcony? Does it mean anything? Maybe an air conditioning unit?

Here's a link to Deck 9:

Looks like almost every deck has this little box thing near the balcony. Anyone that sailed on Epic can tell me what this means?

Thanks!

I looked at Deck 9, and from what I see, the "square" symbol means the cabin is an accessible cabin. I'm really not absolutely sure what you're looking at, but that's what I see :)!

Looking again, I see what you're asking, but I think it's just a part of the line of cabins. It's not an actual "item". Just my opinion!

Nope , forget it !
that means nothing.

Much more important can be were your bed is located.
(near window or not)
