We're booked:

I have left Sunday night open for the group dinner but I have booked:

Saturday: Cagney's
Sunday: Open
Monday: Blue Man Group
Tuesday: Legends In Concert
Wed: Moderno - Second City
Thurs: Cirque Dreams
Fri: Le Bistro

It sort of takes "Free" out of Freestyle but we'll see how well they do with the reservations.

Take care,
Mike

I was thinking the same thing. I had to laugh remembering the Norwegian Cruise Line TV ad where everyone is looking at their watch so as not to be late.
Don't forget your watch while on the Epic.

Hi Epic Cruisers,
As I mentioned in my earlier email, I would keep you abreast of our group functions. I got confirmation, today from NCL, that our group dinner will be in: Taste dining room, at 5:30, on Sunday, the 31st. I am still awaiting confirmation for our cocktail party, prior to the dinner. This timing, gives you the entire evening to enjoy all the shipboard adctivities.

Since the ship is dedicating space for us,, I would ask, if you please can let me know either way, if you will attend, or decline, the dinner. Of course nothing is written in stone, and we can adjust as needed, but, getting a ball park figure will help me, and I appreciate it

We also await, the venue, and, times on the sea days, for Chef Matt's demo's, surely to be a highlight of the cruise.

So, as we move forward, I will keep you all informed ......many thanks
Linda Pearl

Trip:

That thread isn't entirely accurate and doesn't give all the information that tourists need. You can still make purchases up to $100 in U.S. Dollars.

ABTA and TUI sent out inaccurate information to travel agents.

Here are links to two articles that give more and better information.

Default just a thought

If you didn't book a pay venue for dining every night, we could have the option of another get together if desired..Of course more booking options will open up on board ...Do you have "free" nights for dining?

I double booked Shanghai, so Tues or Thurs for me, I am willing to switch or change.....

It's going to be fun!!!!

My goal is to try as many of the restaurants as possible. I'm open Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for dinner.

Matt: I look forward to your demonstrations. I'd love to participate but they don't let me play with sharp things anymore.

Take care,
Mike

I'm glad the Cirque has a new menu. I heard the food wasn't too good.

I am bummed about the Legends show. My sister was psyched to see the Elvis guy and I was looking forward to the Tina Turner impersonator. I could care less about Brittany or Michael Jackson. I hope the Rod Stewart impersonator does some old Faces stuff.

Take care,
Mike

I was on the road yesterday so I did not hear the webcast from NCL, but I know the original plan for Legends at Sea was to change the artists every six months. But I see the changes are effective immediately.

So you will see the new artists on the Oct 30 cruise. But I am sure you will enjoy the show anyway.

The Elvis was actually the weakest performer. Madoona was rthe best singer and Tina was a great dnacer (just like Tina), but not a great singer.

I would like to see the Michael Jackson guy, I'll bet you he is one of the best in the business (and there are a lot of them).

BTW: I am glad you guys got your party for Oct. 31st. Who's doing costumes?

The Cirque menu sounds pretty good. I love foie gras.

I will be dressing up for Halloween. I'll divulge my costume onboard.

Take care,
Mike

From the Epic page on Facebook

MIAMI – SEPT. 24, 2010 – Norwegian Cruise Line announced that three new "legends" will perform as part of the Legends in Concert show on Norwegian Epic beginning Saturday, September 25, 2010. The three are some of the world's most recognized entertainers – Britney Spears, Rod Stewart and Michael Jackson. A staple on the Las Vegas' center strip for over 25 years, Legends in Concert is known as the pioneer of live tribute shows and has assembled the greatest collection of live tribute artists and celebrity look-alikes in show business.

"The Legends in Concert shows in both the Manhattan Room and in the Epic Theater are extremely well received by our guests,” said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line's chief executive officer. "With the arrival of these three new legendary entertainers, we are offering Norwegian Epic guests fresh and exciting performances from some very talented and well known performers."

Portraying a pop princess is no easy feat, but Katy Draper, originally from Utah, dreamed about it from a young age and was also told that she bore a striking resemblance to Britney Spears. She joined the world famous Legends in Concert show in 2006 at the young age of 22, and has gone on to perform as a "Legend" on the Ellen Degeneres show and has toured with Legends in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Branson, Missouri.

John Anthony is an accomplished performer, musician and popular entertainer who continues to captivate audiences around the world with his tribute to Rod Stewart. While covering a few Rod Stewart songs with his Boston-based band, Anthony discovered the ability to emulate Stewart’s voice and mannerisms. Anthony has been performing as Stewart with Legends in Concert for the past 14 years. He has toured America, Canada and Japan and is well known as one of the best and unmatched celebrity tribute artists in the world.

William Hall always knew he would be an entertainer. This San Antonio, Texas native has been performing since he was three years old. Hall attributes his love for music and dancing, along with the influence of his family and friends, as contributing to his decision to perform his tribute to Michael Jackson. Noteworthy career highlights include performing with Diana Ross and for much of the Jackson family in 2004 at father Joe Jackson’s birthday party. He is looking forward to performing on Norwegian Epic and sharing his love and respect for Jackson with his many adoring fans.
Legends in Concert is a live musical celebration featuring the world's greatest celebrity tribute artists. Legends in Concert on Norwegian Epic features three celebrity tribute performers taking the stage in the Epic Theater for six 45-minute shows over three days during a seven-day cruise. In addition, a Legends “Unplugged” show is performed on three additional nights in the Manhattan Room, the ship's New York-inspired supper club, providing an unprecedented dining and entertainment experience. The celebrity performers change every four months, keeping the show fresh and exciting. The initial performers were Madonna, Tina Turner and Elvis Presley.

Legends in Concert
Internationally acclaimed Legends in Concert is known as the pioneer of live celebrity impersonator shows and possesses the greatest collection of celebrity impersonators ever assembled. Featuring live concert shows of famous musicians and celebrities of yesterday and today with concert venues in Myrtle Beach, Branson, Las Vegas, Seattle, Atlantic City, Foxwoods Resort Casino and Coushatta Casino.

The live impersonator show with music legends such as Elvis Presley, The Blues Brothers, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Cher, Madonna, Michael Jackson and many more celebrities that appeal to music fans of all ages, makes Legends in Concert a must see live concert show. With an always-evolving cast of legendary superstars with original choreography and extravagant costumes, Legends in Concert is the original and largest live celebrity tribute show in the world. For more information, visit legendsinconcert.com.
