Extra hidden costs? also...babies?

Hello!
I have never cruised on Norwegian before and am considering booking with them. I have done Royal, Carnival, and Disney. Are there many additional extra costs with NCL? How do they compare?

Also, we will have a nine month old with us. NCL is one of the few lines we found that allows babies over 6 months to travel but does not charge for them, other than port fees. Has anyone traveled on a cruise with a baby? What are the difficulties?
Thanks so much for your opinion!!

Welcome to Cruisemates!

One hint I would give you for the baby, would be to bring a small blow up pool to keep by you on deck. Babies in the pool, as you can imagine, are not looked at kindly. This way you have a happy baby, and you both are relaxed.

Some entertainment and dining venues are extra. Check them out on NCL,and if you book the Epic, you can book them I think. 45 days prior to sailing. We sailed her last year, and really enjoyed the ship.
