I've been travelling around the world on cruise ships for 10 years, but now that I'm 20 a big concern passed the itinerary (even because I've been kind of everywhere, I'm a really lucky guy, no doubts).
I'm going on NCL, mediterrean cruise from 22/12/2012 to turkey, cyprus, Israel etc. My big big question is, averagely and roughly, how old are the passengers? Every cruise is different etc etc I know! but still I found that different companies and different itineraries have huge impact on the age. So again, have you ever been on one cruise like mine? Do you know the average age or have a good guess on it?
I would imagine a Christmas cruise would bring a wider group of families than on a similar sailing before or after. That being said an 11 day cruise to the Mediterranean would be highly skewed to the older crowd.
I have sailed on Christmas cruises 4 times and always found that is a peak time for families to travel. You get a lot of younger age kids traveling with their parents then. You didn't mention if you were traveling with your family or by yourself. When my daughter was in college she met 2 other college age gals from Australia on the cruise and the three of them hung out together the whole week and had a great time!
Oh, NCL cruises are a mixed age group.
I agree with the earlier post. Most Med cruises and cruises for longer periods of time are usually an older crowd. Younger crowd doesn't have as much time off, but Holiday season is always an exception. Go and have a great time!
