Default Bringing wine on board

I'm familiar with NCL's policy on bringing wine onboard. My question is, will they allow me to bring on a Port Wine or will they confiscate it as a liquor?

Can you clarify? I thought Port wine was the same as any other. If it has any alcohol content, you would have to pay the per bottle fee. Any liquor other than wine would be held for you and returned before you disembark the ship.

Port is wine, so it should be fine. I don't think they are looking at the alcohol content but rather the type of beverage it is.

I know you are allowed to bring wine on board at the start of the cruise and pay the corkage fee.

My question is, can you bring more wine on board at each port of call and pay the fee or are you only allowed to bring wine at time of boarding?

You may purchase wine in any port and bring it on board. The same corkage fee will be collected.

Thank You

I wasn't sure if they had a limit on how much you could bring on board.

Thanks for the response. I'll bring my bottle with me. If they keep it I'll get it back at the end of the cruise anyway.

No limit. You can bring on a case, or more, if you want! Can drink it anywhere on the ship. But no boxed wines.

$15 per 750ml bottle. You pay after you go through security. The bottle will be stickered and you can drink it anywhere on the ship. If for some reason you don't drink it, you can get a refund before you leave the ship.

Update on the Port Wine question. Talked to 4 different NCL reps and all 4 said it was fine to bring on the Port Wine, will be charged the appropriate corkage fee $15

Yep, exactly what we said! But I am surprised you got 4 consistent answers from the NCL reps!. Enjoy your "Port" wine!
