Default Everybody loves Rays Excursion-Cozumel

Anyone done this? Planning on this one for me and grandaughter. I know you can take photos during the snorkling portion but can you take photos during the swiming with the stingrays portion?

Can't tell you about your particular excursion, but then again, I don't know who you're booking it through.

I'm not a big proponent of shore excursions offered by the cruise line. MUCH prefer independent excursions - may cost the same, but always alot less crowded, less regimented, and a whole lot more fun!

We've done stingray excursions in the past and have always been allowed to take pictures, so I can't imagine the vendor saying you can't take pictures. After all, you paid for the excursion.

From reading the tour specs I believe it said no pictures during the stingray part of the tour but can take all you want during the snorkeling part. I suppose they want to sell their pictures packets. I can understand that but wish I could get pictures myself of granddaughter with the rays. Do you know of a good website for booking tours in Cozumel?

We have a contract with Shore Trips and have personally booked many tours through them. I would much rather use them than the cruise line's vendors any day.

Don't think they allow that, the whole time, they are taking video of you, which, for a price, you can purchase at the end of your excursion...They are actually pretty cool.

Cruiseplanner, funny u mention Shore Trips. My travel agent uses them also. He just sent me their link so I can look at shore excursions for my Med and Adriatic cruise next year.

We have over 900 agents, so between us our clients book thousands of shore excursions with them every year and in all that time we've only heard of a few minor problems. They are very good to work with, quick to respond with questions, and I much prefer them over the cruise lines anytime! There have been times when Nancy and I have gone on an excursion with them and we've been the only two on the excursion. Have had clients say the same thing. Much nicer than be herded like cattle, that's for sure.

Again, thanks for the info. Since my cruise is still a ways off; I have bookmarked the shore excursions link and will check back periodically. I agree with you; seeing Pisa and Rome in a minivan with my wife and friends; complete with bottled water, bathroom breaks, atm stops, and lunch, is much better than the large buses.
