Exclamation NCL cruising to Cuba!

I just saw that NCL will be cruising to Cuba this spring. I have not cruised on this cruise line but would be interested in a Cuban itinerary.

Well your post is dated awhile ago, but I am scheduled on an NCL Cuba cruise in May 2017. The itinerary is ALL day Tuesday, overnight Tues. night and all day Weds. until 5:00pm. Must board the ship by 3pm. Then ship sails to Stirrup Cay for 1 day and then back to Miami. This was the best cruise I could find with an overnight in Havana. Hope this helps.

Hey, Manny;

Besides NCL, there are a few others; Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Fathom are also going to Cuba.

Unfortunately, all of these are smaller older ships.

Pete if you read all the different articles Cuban ports are such that right now they can only handle the older smaller ships, so to me this is definitely not a problem. In fact we are going in Oct, on NCL.

I agree - smaller older ships are not a problem - I was just pointing out the obvious for those who prefer the newer bigger ships.

If you want something really different, MSC is offering a 7-night cruise that leaves out of Havana. Gives you plenty of time to see everything. Problem is you can't book that through MSC - there are only 2 agencies that are currently contracted to sell these cruises. Your agent can book it for you, but they'll have to go through one of these agencies to do so. I would suggest looking at Central Holidays, if you're interested. I would stay away from the other company as they are very obstinate and belligerent when trying to deal with them - not very good service.

Plus, the other bad thing is, at least for the time being, there are no scheduled itineraries doing Cuba after 1/1/18. Haven't heard why that is, yet, but I'm thinking this should change in the near future.
