Hi! Are you looking for someone to share a cabin with? I'd love to go, but can't afford the single rate.
Looking forward to seeing Blue Man, Cirque, and finally getting to see Atlantis. This is my first time solo cruising, and the Epic seems tailor-made for all the things I enjoy. I hope that it lives up to the hype.
Been a solo traveler for awhile, but this will be my first cruise... I haven't booked much yet, and I'm sure someone has spoken to this already, but is it vital to book early? I'm a go with the flow, do what I want when I feel like it type. Will I miss out on the experience if I don't get on the ball now?
In any event, this thread is getting me psyched. Can't wait for April!
Hello,
Thanks for creating this forum. I have been cruising since 1980. I used to travel solo, then with family during my 13 year marriage. Now I am going back to the future. I have also travelled mostly in Jr. Suites. The "studio" concept has intrigued me. I reserved on for Thanksgiving week. My thought was that lots of singles would gather in the "Living Room". Not so sure now. I read on other boards about families reserving studios for older kids and even for luggage! Not so sure who will end up in the studios.

Hi Dr. JeffB - like you, am giving this a shot. I am sailing on the Epic out of Barcelona on May 22nd. Will post how it goes so you will know for your Thanksgiving trip. Am hoping for the best. I have traveled solo all over the world but this is my first cruise solo. I think Epic may be on to something. Will keep you posted.

looking to travel solo repositioning to Europe april o may
Hi,
I am a solo traveler looking to travel to Europe and looking to save money. I am ready to leave, but have not found what I need. can you tell me what's the best way? Thank you. Chica
Going solo on the Epic 4/30/11. This is my second voyage booked in the studios. The studios are comfortable and they work well when traveling alone. The lighting in the room can be adjusted between "daylight" and "evening" ( a little tricky to figure out - but once you do, it's ok). The window to the hallway works well (totally private - can't see in or out because it has a built in privacy shade) - way better than a classic interior cabin. The area is card access only and has a nice laid back lounge where you can hang and meet other travelers. The gym is very good and the adults only area in the back of the ship is the best place to hang during the day. If you dine or early or really late you are bound to meet other singles. I went to all the venues and did not miss a beat. Another great evening was at the Japanese restaurant where everyone sits around the cook - great opportunity to meet others (solo and couples). I think the concept is good and long overdue. I am going again at the end of the month and I am very excited! Hope this helps anyone considering joining the sailing.
September 11 Barcelona. Staying at Hilton on 9/10. I am travelling alone from New York City area. I would like to connect with someone to eat dinner at LeBistro one night. Also someone to visit the ice bar with. That is my favorite restaurant on NCL. I heard there is an all white party. Is that true? What night is that? Thank you.
If you're in the Epic Solo cruisers section you will find people to join you for the activities. Even if you aren't ask and they will let you join them.
Hi im a single guy going on the Epic with my parents, im not staying in a studio stateroom as im sharing a stateroom with family, are single travellers who are in another type of accomodation on the Epic allowed to access the studio lounge?
I just got back from the first Epic 7-day cruise (transatlantic) and believe me - there are plenty f singles in those cabins, but any other single on the ship can also use the studio lounge - it is NOT a keyed access as origianlly conceived.
I saw LOTS of singles meeting up in the Lounge and will have an article about it up on Monday.
I did the Western European cruise on the EPIC in 2011 and a card key was needed to get into the singles cabin sections. The only outside guests inside the lounge were invited. I love the lounge, the recreation, the fact that we didn't have to go to a restaurant if we just wanted to have a snack or a sandwich and some really nice people from everywhere seemed to enjoy it as well. I am sailing on the EPIC again in 69 days. Fantastic.

Two Single Males From Down Under Travelling on 12/29/2012/2013 Cruising on the Epic out of Miami - any other singles travelling then?
Two straight guys 30's & 40's travelling on the Norwegian Epic for New Years & cool to hangout with other Solo Travellers from the Epic.
I'm on the cruise 3/23/13. First time, Solo. 51, M, single. Looking to have an exciting time, and meet new people. A little anxious as to how many singles there will be - does anyone know average, and what the split is M / F? Would love to meet up with others and have a great time.
