We are going to South America on a cruise from Buenos Aires to Valpariso on Oceania in December. We were going to spuge on Crystal.
but it was sold out! It sounds like Oceania is very good also, but I don't know if they have the speakers and programs like Crystal does. Has anyone been on Oceania cruises and know what they have on "at sea" days?
If you are looking for onboard enrichment, I would have to say Crystal goes much further than Oceania will. Oceania is more of a DIY cruise line - very convenient and great food, but not much in terms of onboard activity.
Another option for you is Cunard. They are very classy and tend to have plenty of enrichment onboard.
Silversea and Regent also do well.

On our O cruises there have been guest lectures, cooking demo, bingo, trivia, bridge, computer classes etc...
They also have DVD's if you want to watch a movie in your cabin
You can keep busy or not ...the choice is yours
Bobbi-
sounds like you are on our cruise. - the Insignia? I've heard there isn't too much in the way of entertainment. I heard the cost of using the internet is quite high. Figure I'll watch the scenery/ready/meet people- and EAT!
Miriam,
We are on the same cruise leaving on December 20th. My email is bobbimitzenmacher@yahoo.com Please write me so we can discuss some things. Looking forward to meeting you.
