Anyone been on the Panama canal cruise?!

Hello,

Thinking of going with Oceania for the panama canal crossing which goes next Jan from Miami to LA.

Anyone done this cruise?! Any words of wisdom for me before I take the plunge and book it?!

We did the full transit in Jan, 2006 on Celebrity's Summit. Was a really
wonderful trip - can't say enough about the ship, service and overall
atmosphere of the cruise. Was quite an experience - weather was great -
warm enough for shorts but not really hot or humid. Actually the day we
did the canal was rather cloudy which was good as I understand the
canal can be extremely warm and humid. If you have your heart set on
doing a lot of shopping at the different ports - not as much to pick from
like the Caribbean but that was ok with dear husband. Hope you enjoy
and definately book a balcony if you can.

We did the Panama with O last year.
We did enjoy the cruise and if you want to do book early.
They are usually sold out for winter cruises.
