Current Oceania sale

Oceania is currently offering $2000 reductions per cabin on their 2009 European cruises. This seems like a huge deal. Is it, or is this typical for filling unbooked cabins? We were looking at heading to the Greek Isles in 2010 but 2009 is looking like it might be the year.

Thanks for your feedback.

We've been on three Oceania cruises and have never seen them discount before. Our cruse, May 15, is one of the ones not discounted. Only about half of O's cruises have been discounted. It's a wonderful cruise line and we love it discount or not.

It is a sign of the cruise lines trying to attract customers in the economic down turn ...most cruise lines are discounting the fares & Oceania is doing the same.
It is a good deal if Oceania fits your lifestyle
Not all cruises are discounted ...be sure to read the fine print to see if O is right for you

I dont know exactly how this happened but i was able to get a 2360 reduction in our A1 cabin that was booked last August. I suspect it was a combination of the 2000 anniversary special (that is what they are calling it) plus the reversal of the fuel surcharge.

Also if you get free air you can "trade in" the air for credit toward your cabin if for some reason you can get your air with points or other way. Our air credit is going to be about 2500 or so.....

The cabin credit can only be arranged by your travel agent and I saw somewhere that it "expires" on March 31, 2009 so call now and get your bucks back!!!

!

They usually take the air credit off the final payment price on your invoice.
Request a new invoice from your TA
Air credit:
The amount varies depending on the cruise it can be $250 to $900 plus any taxes associated with the airfare
