Oceania air carrier Atlas Air, Papeete

We are booked on the Dec. 27, 2012 cruise from Valparaiso to Papeete on Marina. I am concerned about the included air carrier Oceania has chosen from Papeete to Los Angeles on Jan.16/17--Atlas Air. I gather they do primarily cargo flights with a few passenger charters. My concern is a websearch that turned up two critical safety incidents in 2010 (Feb and May) when parts of the flap assembly detatched/separated from their 747 planes, the same kind used for our return flight. They were fined half a million dollars for this safety problem. Does anyone know anything about this carrier?
