Elaine Bennett (Seinfield)

The Senate now has 20 members who are Women and they seem to be able to work across partylines on several key issues which I think is a great

David Axelrod often speaks on the process of how the playbook was written to elect the first POTUS who was not a White male. Conventional wisdom at one time was that there would have been a Female POTUS before a male of Color

We have already crossed the barrier by having each major political party nominate a female VP candidate.

No question in my mind our Country is ready for a Woman to lead us. The bigger question is are we ready for the First Husband

When you go to Vegas place a bet for 2020 for it to happen...She will emerge from a non traditional political background and will surface on the national scene in the next 12-18 months.

If Hillary Clinton decides to run in 2016, I think she would gain her party's nomination and that would place the Republicans in one heck of a pickle which will be fun to watch

I think it would be great to live to see the first Woman as president. The UK has had successful women in leadership, so why not us.

I do hope that the person nominated is someone who is qualified to lead. Sadly, people got so excited about our president, not for what he was able to do, or qualifications, but because of his color.

I also hope it won't be Mrs. Clinton. Bless her heart, she has so many skeletons in that closet, they are over crowded.

There are so many women out there, as well as men of color, who would do a great job for this country.

Default Hillary Clinton's adviser Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner's wife could be Hillary's vice

Hillary Clinton's adviser Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner's wife.
The sisters in politics who share the notoriety of having promiscuous, prominent husbands will appeal to the women of America who will vote for them as president and vice president because they know how to handle scandal by standing by their man.

Well, since we have already had a former Hollywood male actor become POTUS...how about the actress on The Good Wife?

Default Stand by your man could be the Abedin-Weiner Clinton campaign song

The combination of Huma Abedin and Hillary Clinton is a natural. All of the popular women programs will give them free time and the first question will be'
"Do you know where your husband is and what is he doing?"
At the Democratic convention we will see Weiner and Clinton holding hands while Stand by you man is played.

I would like to see Sarah Palin in office. She is the only woman I know with political views anywhere close to mine.

If she did, SNL would back up the Brinks truck to bring Tina Fey back!!!!

Regardless of political views...she may come across one way, but she is much smarter then most would think in how she manages her public persona

Sarah Palin and HermanCain on a 3rd Tea Party ticket would probably attract more votes then George Wallace and keep the writers for the Daily Show & Colbert Report enough material to last them thru 2020

If Sarah Palin ever became President I would move to Alaska so I could see Russia.

I continue to be very uncomfortable with the insults directed toward Sarah Palin. AS far as I can see, she is a good wife, mother, and governor.

Best of all, she sticks to her beliefs. They might not be popular with the left, but at least she doesn't flip flop.

Luanne...one never knows when dealing with high profile public political types, whether what you see is what really is there especially wth their family life...what I stated was she is much more politically savy then she is given credit for (I suspect she works that to her benefit)...the highest ratings CSPAN has ever received is when she is addressing CPAC, followed closely by the annual Press Association dinner the year POTUS ripped Donald Trump to shreds while he was monitoring the Bin Laden mission

Actually Palin is beloved by the left almost as much as she is beloved by the Tea Party right and FOX news...main stream Conservative Republicans and John McCain may have a slightly different take on her

Last year she was in a suburb of New Orleans at Barnes & Noble for a book signing on a Tuesday at noon (by design, less then 48 hour public notice)...She recerived a rock star reception and forced the mall to close because of the crowd

She makes more $$$$ and has more influence by not running for an elected office and she knows it. I wonder how the citizens of Alaska perceive her these days

Perhaps you need new glasses .She was a terrible governor ,not the greatest parent and you would have to ask Todd about her as a wife .

Lindy Boggs passed away this week...I had the honor of meeting her at a reception and was not aware until her death, what an incredible impact she had on both women's rights and civil rights...In a recent interview she spoke about how pleased she was to see so many women in Congress and how sadden she was at the lack of bi-partisianship and outright hostility that has been exhibited towards women and minorities by certain political party members. She was a person of great class...we need more elected officials like her

It seems many moderates in both parties are leaving Congress because they are frustrated

Truck Cruiser, I believe you were the one that said they believed that the disabled should have their voting rights taken away because they were more likely to vote for the Democrats. That was you? How could anyone that believes in God and his country think that way?

One good thing about Palin is that she is a quitter.

I don't believe I ever said that the disabled should have their voting rights taken away. If I am not mistaken I said that those who have never contributed (Payed Taxes), or have contributed for a very short time before going on disability, should not be allowed to vote.
How can I think that way? Simple.....Those on the public dole will always vote for the person that they believe will increase their benefits. I personally know many retirees that only voted for Obama because they thought they would lose some of their benefits if Romney won the election. These same people constantly complain about Obama too, even though they voted for him.
It is a shame that someone who has worked his or her butt off to help house and feed these people can have their vote cancelled out by someone who does not contribute to Society.

Wow! Just wow! Truck Cruiser, do you consider yourself a Christian?

Also, I'd like to point out that a lot of working people vote for Democrats and a lot of retired people vote for Republicans.

You do realize that you are going to be old and retired and/or disabled at some point in your life. Does that mean you think you should not be able to vote at that point?

That view would go well in country in Europe that implemented such a police in the first half of the twentieth century.

Pick and choose who can vote is not part of a democracy. Taking away rights from the disabled is not part of our way of life.

Like the "right" to own guns is not in the Constitution, the "right" to vote isn't either. If we start taking away the right to vote we have to compensate by taking away the right to own guns, because there will be civil war.

Sarah Palin would be great fodder for the late night comedians. She is just plain super.

Sorry for getting off topic. I'll vote for Hillary if she is nominated. She may not be my first choice but I think she'd get the job done.
