Default Brilliant Jimmy Kimmel Bit

If you haven't see it yet, watch this segment from the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
Jimmy Kimmel Proves Americans Don?t Know What Obamacare Is | Variety

Now look, I spent years as a film editor so don't give me a lecture about what "hit the cutting room floor." That's not the point. I know all about how editing works, and chances are I know better than you.

The point is that there's a measurable part of the population that is too stupid to be allowed to walk the streets. And there is a measurable part of the population that hates anything with the word "Obama" attached to it, and yes Paul, some of them are racists. Honest. Even on Hollywood Boulevard, not to mention the South.

I am absolutely fed up with the rampant stupidity of my fellow Americans.

And I include in that group the vainglorious neo-Confederacy in the House.

I saw this and it cracked me up!!

The sad thing is, if you were to ask the same question to congressmen, you'd probably get the same type of responses!

You know, AR, I am a liberal Democrat. I am from Arkansas. I am aware that I am massively outnumbered...but I do get put out by people constantly lumping us together. There are liberals down here, too. Not everyone down here is a flaming racist or stupid.

That would be why I used the word "some."

And when we look at history we know that there were "some" liberals down there during the height of Jim Crow, just as you are there now.

Unfortunately, for as long as you aren't there in numbers enough to break the gerrymandered districts, and get some reasonable balance in local, state and Congressional elections, your political effect will be near zero. That's not a knock on you, but on the other hand you'll have to forgive some generalizations (to which you are an exception), in the interest of stating the overall reality of what's going on.

Nothing personal.

AR go to youtube and search for Rick Mercer talking to americans.

Canadians find this show hilarious. Rick Mercer talks to Americans about their knowledge of Canada. Some relatively famous Americans/politicians have been interviewed.

I guess Canadians would find it surprising that Canada is one of the topics that I personally have NO recollection of learning anything about in Grade school. Of course I went to school in AZ, so I learned a whole lot more about Mexico than CA.

As far as that Jimmy K video - Honestly - why do you really think those people said they liked "The Affordable Care Act" better than Obamacare?

All it showed to me is that most Americans are not paying attention to government (much to everyone's peril, not just Northern carpetbaggers who think Southerners are too stupid to think for themselves), but that they know one thing - they are sick & tired of anything affiliated with Obama.

That's not me talking - its them, we all know three years ago they all would have said "Obamacare." So, what has changed for these people who really don't know ships from Shinola?

Paul, I'm not surprised by that at all. Its very apparent to us (especially on a cruise) when we meet Americans that have very little knowledge about Canada. It becomes humorous after a while.

We learn a lot about world history -including US history - within our school system. We're also exposed to more US media here in Canada than you are to Canadian media. That's just the way it is.

Still, what little most Americans know about Canada especially Canadian geography is baffling.
