Splendor of the Sea cruise ship

Our very first cruise is on the Splendor of the Sea departing from Spain in May 2005 for 1 week. Anyone cruised on this ship? My husband and I are tall people and we cannot upgrade our room ( contest work related). I want to take my 15 month old son but ship does not appear to be child friendly a nd room looks small. HELP! Do we go? or not?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
