I have read numerous reviews and the main complaints about Island Star seem to be that the cabins at the back of the ship are very noisy. For this reason I have now contacted them and pre-booked a cabin nearer the front. Some people have also commented about some of the clientele being not your ususal cruising types. I am a working class person myself but I hate rudeness and bad manners and it sounds like some people have experienced this being displayed towards members of staff on Island ships. I have to say I have travelled to many parts of the world and I am ashamed to say I have found the British to be the worst tourists. I have also read many complaints that the hot food at the buffet is at best lukewarm. I booked this cruise before I discovered these forums and I have to say I probably wouldn't have booked it if I had read them first, but I will reserve judgement until after I have experienced it myself and will be posting reviews about it. I am hoping I will be pleasantly surprised.
