Need Some Input..

Hi, I am 18 years old. Will be traveling with my mother 40. I want us both to enjoy it. We are deciding on whether or not to go to Australia/New Zealand. Anybody every take a cruise there? Did you enjoy it or is that a place I would rather do on land?

Advice on the best ships..cruise lines?
Also, why did you like this ship/cruise, food? entertainment?

I'll appreciate any advice.
