If you are a parrothead, there is a "Trails of Margaritaville" tour that is an interesting slice of Key West history woven in the music and life of Jimmy Buffet. Otherwise just a walk down Duval Street is a kick. Just remember Key West is a real "live & let live" location (for ex - "clothes optional" bar, Conch Republic attitude (seceding from the U.S.), the Key West Air Force (watch for the red bi-plane), etc. Hang loose !

We took a ride on the trolley. You can get off where you want, and board the next one..........every 15 min. Try conch fritters and the chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick. Mallory Square is entertaining at sunset!
Took the conch tour and then walked Duval street. We ended up at the Red Fish Blue Fish where I had the best mojito. Yummmmm...
Life is too short to let the ship of your dreams sail without you.

If you plan on doing a beach there, I would go to fort Zachary Taylor, it is a state park I think it cost like $5.00 to get in but its the best beach I've been to down there (I go there alot)..gotta watch out for the man-o-wars if you go swimming though. On duval street its all bars and surf shop/tourist shops. Iam going to Key West on an upcoming cruise and I will also just go out and venture on my own. Everything is within walking distance and its a very easy town to get around and small at that. Very tourist friendly! No matter what you decide to do...you shouldn't be bored
